STORY OF GHOST STORIES ANIME

The anime Ghost Stories is a tale that uncovers the darkest secrets of an unmentioned place. Of course, paranormal activities are real (hopefully, you believe in them!) but many are just conjured for fun. Certain places that are secluded usually end up being famous for the ghosts that live in them. In Ghost Stories, we do find one of them and you know what happens? Satsuki and Keiichirou Miyanoshita are about to be killed by some real ghosts! Oh, if you haven’t watched the anime yet then we’ll take you into the flashback!

Satsuki and Keiichirou Miyanoshita have just lost their mother and cannot deal with this loss. Both the kids are devastated. Now, in this world, they are all alone. In order to remain safe and to be somewhere where their mother would have wanted them, the two move to her hometown. There, they begin to live a normal life and get enrolled in a school. While trying to settle and make friends, Satsuki and Keiichirou find a dark and mysterious building. Hajime Aoyama, Momoko Koigakubo, and Leo Kakinoki reveal that the building is rumored to be possessed. After a few days, the news crashes over the teens that their school is being shifted into that same building. Obviously, like most of us, they just brush off the feeling of being haunted in this new school.

But, how long could they have dodged the ghosts who are after Satsuki and Keiichirou to kill them? When dug deeper, it unveils that it was their mother who banished hordes of ghosts to save the town under their threat. Now, after years the ghosts have returned for two major reasons. First, they want to avenge the person who jailed them for so many years. Since she has died so they want to kill her kids. Secondly, they want to take over the town once again. The areas where they were captivated are now in the eyes of a human. As they don’t have isolated places far from humans, they are eager to avenge everyone. Satsuki and Keiichirou get hold of the diary which carries the ways and spells through which their mother controlled the ghosts. As they begin to make use of them for saving their lives, the first attempt goes wrong. The ghost they try to defeat ends up getting captured by their own pet cat. Amanojaku (a ghost) isn’t happy to be in a cat, but he joins a team of friends who are eager to have a peaceful town once again. The spirits, demons, and other paranormal entities are stronger than you imagine in Ghost Stories. So, don’t watch if you are a scaredy cat!

Keiichiro Miyanoshita

Keiichiro is Satsuki’s little brother and is very opposite in nature from him. Often, we find him being bullied and fooled by other kids. Keiichiro trusts very easily and this is why he faces the consequences. It feels as if something stops Keiichiro, apparently some fears but being with Amanojaku helps him. The ghost has added some confidence to Keiichiro’s personality which is appreciative. Since then, Keiichiro takes part in ghost-controlling missions and eventually helps his friends. At times, he makes mistakes too which turn into grave trouble for everyone else.

With the guidance of her journal, Satsuki believes she can do what her mother did in the past. The heroic efforts of this girl are obviously worthy of praise. We cannot shake off the fact that Satsuki tries beyond her limits.

Amanojaku

Amanojaku is not a cat at all! It used to be a mighty spirit over which no one had control. However, Satsuki’s mother had the guts and captivated him in a big old tree in the forest. For years Amanojaku has been there. But, when humans chopped the tree down for the sake of urbanization, Amanojaku was set free. But to his surprise, Satsuki tried a spell that trapped him in their cat named Kaya. At first, he was very aggressive toward the kids but his heart eventually melted. This turn of events and attitude makes the spirit Amanojaku a merry friend.
