The story of Edens Zero centers around a young man named Shiki Granbell. The teen boy has lived his entire life on a deserted amusement park planet called Granbell Kingdom. The place looks spectacularly fun as the whole planet is a theme park. You don’t believe it? The Granbell Kingdom is an anime version of Disney World. But, the sad part is that here, Shiki was adopted and raised by Ziggy the “Demon King” and his robots. Other than Ziggy, he is not acquainted with any humans. Shiki is fascinated by the concept of friendship and is convinced that there must be other people like him out in the galaxy. But, these are all his thoughts as Ziggy passes away. The boy has no idea if it’s true or not.

One day, a beautiful young woman named Rebecca Bluegarden and her sentient cat companion, Happy, visit a planet. These adventurers were in search of rare videos to upload to their B-Cube channel. Guess which planet was it? The Granbell Kingdom of course! Shiki is thrilled to meet them and befriends them immediately, but their visit is cut short when the robots are infected by some virus. They all continue to act horrendously and try to kill all three of them. As it turns out, Shiki possesses an Ether Gear that allows him to manipulate gravity, which is a rare and powerful ability coveted by many throughout the galaxy. Shiki, Rebecca, and Happy are forced to flee the planet and embark on a journey to find Mother, the legendary goddess of the cosmos who is said to grant any wish to those who find her.

Along the way, the trio encounters a colorful cast of characters. The list includes the brilliant scientist and arms dealer - Weisz Steiner and the enigmatic sword-wielding warrior - Homura Kogetsu. They also discover that the space pirate captain who attacked the Granbell Kingdom is Elsie Crimson. He is actually a former friend of Rebecca's who has been corrupted by the power of the Ether Gear. As they travel deeper into the galaxy, Shiki and his companions face numerous challenges and obstacles. Including battles with powerful enemies and confronting their own fears and doubts. But, their bond of friendship remains strong, and they continue to push forward towards their goal of finding Mother. And, not to forget, discovering the true nature of the Ether Gear.

One of our personal favorite plot twists in Edens Zero comes in the form of a mysterious figure known as Drakken Joe. He is revealed to be the most powerful and feared criminal in the galaxy. Drakken Joe has been manipulating events behind the scenes, and his ultimate goal is to obtain the power of the Ether Gear and rule the galaxy with an iron fist. Shiki and his companions face off against Drakken Joe and his minions. But, they must also face the true nature of their own abilities and the consequences that come with wielding such immense power. They’d discover shocking revelations about their own pasts and the true identity of Mother. This sets the stage for an epic finale that will leave you on the edge of your seat!

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT EDENS ZERO SO FAR!

We must say, season 2 of Edens Zero starts off with a jump and we all are left in shock. Of course, watching our favorite characters grow so old and the revelation of Happy’s death was cruel. However, it was just Rebecca’s dream. The crew is after Drakken Joe but the thing is, they don’t know how cruel and sharp he is. However, he couldn’t manage the powers of Witch Regret and it was then that Drakken’s face was worth watching. He was finally being vanquished by someone he never expected. Witch Regret took down the cream of his team. Being out is far too dangerous, hence, all our heroes have to fight hard yet keep their identities hidden. For this, they employ the holographic disguise app and to some extent, it works too. Unfortunately, Laguna Husert finds out and holds power over everyone except for Weisz. In order to get through, Hermit Mio aids Weisz and they defeat Laguna.
