The tale of Blue Exorcist is divided between the worlds of Assiah and Gehenna. The first one is of humans while the latter is of demons and both worlds are opposite reflections of each other. To save himself, Rin enrolls in True Cross Academy to be an exorcist to safeguard himself from his own father Satan. Astonishingly, Yukio is there already not as a student but as a teacher which makes matters one step less messier for Rin.
