Kobayashi
Kobayashi is a 25 years old programmer working at the Jigokumeguri System Engineering Inc. She is not like other girls (protagonists) portrayed in other anime. Kobayashi is stern and does not talk much with all which ultimately makes them feel uneasy. Her more interest in work and almost less to no in people around has kept her isolated.
Kobayashi isn’t very attractive in appearance as well. She wears spectacles (simple, not classy or stylish), has pinkish hair made into a casual ponytail all the time, and hardly ever wears fashionable clothes, and is mostly found wearing either work uniform or casual T-shirt and pajamas.
Apart from looks, Kobayashi’s soul gives positive vibes and she is the one who’s always ready to help. She even helped a dragon without being scared and the next day even allowed Torhu to work as a maid in order to help her out. Tohru
Tohru supplies the real energy to the anime. She has the power of changing herself into a human and dragon form according to her wish. Tohru is a sea-green dragon with big horns and a mighty tail. However, when she wishes to turn into a human (maid for Kobayashi), she changes her dragon scales into the uniform of maid, gets red and yellow fiery eyes, and retains horns but they seem like part of her headband.
There are some unique abilities possessed by Tohru. When she is in her dragon form, her tail is poisonous, releases powerful fire breaths, has razor-sharp teeth and claws, while her size is gigantic as well. Other than all this, in the human and dragon form, Tohru can fly and her strength can easily defeat other humans. Her fire breath also works in the human form.
The character of Tohru deep inside depicts that we shouldn’t follow what we are taught, instead should experience things. Tohru always detested humans but after being with Kobayashi, her perspective altered completely.
Kanna Kamu
Kanna is our cutey doll adored by all! She is also a dragon. Having white feathers instead of scales and has small horns. In her human appearance, Kanna seems like a kid even less than 10 years old. She wears light color clothes like pink and white frocks with fur collars. Her hair is lavender white with purplish lowlights while her horns look super cute!!!
It wasn’t that easy for Kanna to adjust to earth but she develops nice bonding with people around like Kobayashi, Tohru, and Riko. Kanna is quite sensible and not a kid at all, her curious nature, naughty pranks, and outburst of happiness are some of the things that make everyone think that she is a little girl (which is not true).
Kanna is also strong but not like Tohru, probably due to the age difference. But, she has the ability to generate and manipulate electricity which aids others as well as her during the fights.
Elma
Elma is another dragon girl but different from others! Elma is a water dragon and is quite different from Tohru and Kanna. She appears like a sea serpent dragon with a horn similar to a unicorn. In the human avatar, she turns into a beautiful girl with short funky hair, dressed in modern and trendy outfit.
She is as powerful as Tohru but lacks some abilities due to the fact that she is a sea dragon. The fun part of Elma is that she can never control herself when she sights food, especially something sweet. Waffles, cream, candies, ice cream, and all such things are her life.
