Ed Vanquishing Father

Nobody ever imagined what Edward was like during his fight with Father. He just had one thing in mind, Father took away “Alphonse.” We all know how much he prioritized his brother and when Al gave his life so that Ed could have his real arm back, there was nothing more agonizing. Ed kicked Father like a punching bag, and even the crowd wanted this.

Nothing was enough for Edward because the realization of losing Ed was overpowering him to the extent that Father couldn’t defend himself.

Ed’s Efforts For Al’s Body

Edward promises his brother to bring back his body in every way possible but we can see that this vow isn’t easy to keep. Actually, Alphonse’s body is hidden in the Doors of Truth. It is arduous to reach them until the spirit of Truth isn’t beaten. It was enduring of Ed to think even though he was kept under pressure by Truth but the fact that Ed vanquishes the dark lord with his sacrifice is really breathtaking.

We all had a peek into the Doors of Truth and there it was, the body of Al was right there! The moment was all full of desperateness.

The Goodbyes

It was definitely a very emotional episode when we all knew that Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood was ending here. However, for us, the best moment in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood was when we saw Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric both riding back to their house happily. The boys sacrificed so much for peace and in the end when we could see that they have got everything they ever wished for; it all seemed so insane and tears slipped out!

Ed’s Exams

Ed had been wonderful in his alchemy exam. We all were more stressed than him during his examinations but everyone including Fuhrer Bradley. The tricks that Edward employed in his transmutation-circle-free alchemy were impressive enough that he passed the exam with flying colors. It was definitely a moment of victory as a teen boy flaunted things that even mature couldn’t complete. This is why we have added the moment of exams among the best ones.

Fight With Ling

Alphonse and Edward know exactly how to deal with their enemies and we can observe this even though there weren’t many episodes released. As soon as the boys start their journey, the first serious fight that they have is with Ling, Lan Fan, and Fu. Actually, the combat isn’t directly with them, instead, Al and Ed get one-on-one with their bodyguards and eventually the opponents judge how strong both young boys are.

Plus, the ending of this scene is pretty hilarious. The after-effects of this catastrophe were funny as no one responded when it came to paying for the damage.

Human Transmutation

This one scene changed the life and story of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Human Transmutation is a process that is forbidden for anyone to perform. The purpose of this magic is to bring back the dead soul and this is why it isn’t granted. The one who dies can’t come back but the poor and desperate Elric brothers didn’t know what would be the consequences.

They tried Human Transmutation and as the spell worked, Ed’s left leg begin to vanish while Al’s whole body goes in the air and there was no one to help. Edward tries to stop Al and offers the spirits to take his heart, arm, head, everything, anything but let his brother live and in the meanwhile links Al’s blood with the armor and his soul is sent in the armor. However, Ed loses one arm as well!

Self-Doubt

This moment really made us laugh and cry at the same time while the feeling is hard to explain. Alphonse is misled by Barry the Chopper who is also a soul stuck in an armor. Barry makes Al think about whether he really is a human or not because how can someone feel without a heart and think without a brain? Al begins to worry if he is only a spirit or if he is a human rather than just a soul in armor.

Here, Alphonse goes to Edward to inquire about the reality. There, Ed explains to him that things are felt in the soul and the body is just an instrument that is nothing. The most vital thing for someone to be human is the soul rather than the body.

Combat Between Winry And Scar

Winry has made many mistakes because all she wanted was to avenge the death of her parents. For this, she wished to spill the blood of those responsible and according to her, it was Scar. However, she hears Ed and Scar talking about who really was the culprit, she was shocked to hear the name of Ishvalan. Winry couldn’t fathom it; crying her heart out with the tears of confusion, she points the gun at Scar to kill him but couldn’t.

The fight takes a twist as Scar turns to kill Winry in defense but Ed comes in his way and halts the reaching hurricane. He makes Winry realize that she can let things go and with his pure heart, she needs to do good for all.

Greed’s End

One of the best moments of FMAB (spoilers alert) is when we get a peek into Greed’s life. At first, he was with the Elric brothers and everyone thought that he is on the right side. But, as soon as he gets to frame Ling, the real face of Greed is revealed as he surrenders to Father and the fight goes into his lap. We all were really shocked to see Greed changing his path.

As Greed dies at the hand of Father and realizes what mistake he has made- it was too late to do anything! Speaking his last words, Greed reveals that he thought Father is his true friend and had no idea that Father would betray him. All he wanted was friends and he was only greedy for that!

Al’s Sacrifice

Nothing can match the moment when Edward was fighting against Father. The battle was harder than thought and everyone was trying to help the boys in one way or another. At that point, Ed loses his mechanical arm and we could feel that the anime would have a bad ending but something surprising happened.

Al with May’s help conjures Human Transmutation again and this time surrenders his soul in order to bring back Ed’s arm. Al made the sacrifice with all his will and his soul meets his body again. The moment can’t be defined as Alphonse was happy that he could help his brother and got into his body while Edward was wailing for the return of Alphonse his brother.
