Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Bones

In their teen years, Al and Ed lost their mother. Having no loved one near and getting signs of a father after their mother’s death, both try the unforbidden alchemy to bring back the soul of their mother in a desperate hour. But, both brothers never guessed what could be the consequences! It is a rule that a dead soul never returns but Al and Ed were late to learn this. Soon, the spirits and guardians begin to take action and take away Ed’s arm while taking Al. However, Ed takes Al’s blood in his fingers and scrapes a line to keep his soul intact and in the meanwhile offers his body parts in return for his brother. The catastrophe ends with Alphonse’s soul affixed in armor and Edward with no right arm and left leg.

Both search for ways to fix the dilemma and find out that only the “Philosopher's Stone” is powerful enough to work. Both begin searching for the stone but there are many surprises ahead. Soon, the most astonishing fact is unveiled over Alphonse and Edward. Their father (with real name) Homunculi has become the evilest alchemist and the one with the highest authority and power. Only he would be able to help the boys reach the Philosopher’s Stone. Being in contact was never easy and on the way, Ed and Al get to know their father is famous more as a beast and murderer than a human. The same happened with them as their own “Father” became their worst enemy.

Father

Though the real name of the character is Homunculus but is usually called Father as this is his relation with Edward and Alphonse. But let us mention this over here that he has never done any single thing that proves he is their father or has any right over the boys. Instead, Homunculus is the one who fights with Ed in the end as a Homunculi for the Philosopher’s Stone. He is a being who can’t be called human because he doesn’t possess any good things in him and finally gets defeated by Edward, his own son.

Edward

Edward also known as Ed is the most important character in the anime series FMAD as most of the responsibility falls on him. He is the older brother of Alphonse and believes that after his mother he must care for his brother and bring back his body. With a prosthetic leg and arm, he begins to learn specialized alchemy and turns out to be the youngest alchemist in the world. Ed can even conjure alchemy without the transmutation circle. Hysterically, people hardly focus on his skills and always point out his short height to which he aggressively replies.

Alphonse

Alphonse or Al is the younger brother of Ed. This poor boy is worth all the pity in the world. It apparently seems easy to say that Al lost his and got his soul in armor, but in reality, it is way too difficult. No doubt that he is the sweetest little brother to be because Al always supported his brother in every fight and never backed out. He couldn’t directly help Ed which was awful for him while his identity and emotional crisis elevated anxiousness. There is a moment when Al gives up his life to make his brother Ed win from Father. The little boy made many sacrifices and it was quite joyful to see him getting back everything in the end.

Well, Winry joined Ed and Al’s team partly because she wanted to avenge everything she lost because of Scar and his gang. But, love gave her a new array for living life.
