The story of Do It Yourself mainly revolves around two girls Miku and Sefuru. Both of them have been together since childhood. It is more like one soul split into two bodies. After all, the two are neighbors and have studied at the same school in the past. In the first episode, we can see both of them laughing and giggling, and excited about the new phase of life. Sefuru is eager to enroll in Yuyu Girls' Vocational High School for technology. It is her childhood dream. On the contrary, Muki feels she would be grateful for whatever she gets. Fate plays an insane game with both of them. Sefuru gets admission to Gatagata Girls' High School (very average) while Miku enrolls in Yuyu. This obviously adds bitterness for the time being.

It is evident that Sefuru doesn’t enjoy being in school but she has to bear the burden. And, deal with her accident-prone nature. Ending up being Rei’s DIY club, Sefuru traces a new side of her personality. The challenge of helping the club survive and making the tree house would be a tiring, creative, yet exhilarating journey for all.

Miku Suride

Miku is a very shy girl and is very careful while speaking. She doesn’t like to share what she feels, or in another way, we can say that she isn’t confident enough. Achieving her dreams, Miku reaches to be at Yuyu Girls' Vocational High School for technology. It was more like the biggest wish of her life coming true in front of her eyes. However, leaving behind her support and best friend Serufu isn’t easy for her at all. Miku is creative, and compelling, and likes to work together with everyone. All her qualities go useless when she lets others run her mind as Miku can be manipulated by a child too.

Serufu Yua

Serufu Yua is a very passionate and diligent girl but usually, all her good things drown with a single wrong step. It was an all-time dream of Serufu to be at Yuyu Girls' Vocational High School but she never got to be there. Instead, it was her best friend Miku who got the chance. Consequently, Serufu got to be at Gatagata Girls' High School which isn’t obviously as good as Yuyu. But, you know what? Sometimes, what you think is against you turns out to be the best for you. In Serufu’s case, the same happens! She bumps her bicycle, meets Rei, and gets to be a part of a DIY club. There, she again gets along with Miku though both had a strained relationship after the admissions. It is a shock for Serufu even though she is so good and handy with creativity.

Rei Yasaku

Rei Yasaku is a senior student but was very tense, gloomy, and grumpy at the beginning of the anime. All she ever wanted was to be a head of a thriving creative club. However, nothing goes as per her wish and Rei ends up thinking to end the club. But, the winds changed their direction with one little step of kindness from Rei. She gets to meet Serufu and adds her in the DIY (Do It Yourself) club. With that, the doors to success begin to slide open and one after another, impressive members add in. Rei is compulsive but a good leader and more than that, a really good friend.

Juliet Queen Elizabeth VIII

Better call her Jobko! Well, something really astonishing happens with our girl. She intended to enroll in Yuyu but ends up in Gatagata due to some kanji error. Actually, Jabko doesn’t live here and temporarily studies here while living at Miku’s place. She’s such a gem and a very talented girl too. She surely knows how to deal with some technical creativity troubles. Her assistance turns out to be the main factor behind the success of the DIY club. Who cares if Jobko seldom gets a little confused, she does her work immaculately mostly.

Kokoro Kōki

Kokoro studies at Yuyu and is a classmate of Miku. Watching all the girls working in such an energetic way in the DIY club, Kokoro is lured to join it. She happily agrees to be an external member and is the one who gives pretty good ideas and is of great help. Kokoro is gentle and sweet in her actions. The girl owns a very charming quality that very few people have, she easily befriends everyone. The way Kokoro takes the initiative is pretty awesome. She can attract and gain attention toward herself in the blink of an eye.
