WHAT’S THE 07-GHOST STORY ALL ABOUT?

Imagine suddenly bumping into the killer of your father. Hard to imagine, isn’t it?

With unpredictable twists and turns, the series 07-Ghost perfectly fits into the fantasy manga genre with a balanced mix of mystery and thrill. But who doesn’t love a good nail-biting series, right? Ghost-07 is not your regular mystery series. Even though the initial episodes do not reveal the unforeseeable course of events and the characters do make questionable choices, it still manages to get you hooked with every episode ending in suspense. Let’s talk about how the story begins! Our main hero, the protagonist, Teito Klan, is one of the promising students of Barsburg Empire's Military Academy, who, along with his very close friend Mikage, clears the final exams with flying colors (yayy!). The next day, he visits his professor to submit his application but hears something familiar. Same noises? Past memories Familiar face? Guess what? Teito, who had no memories of the past, used to get flashbacks of his past memories. His dreams were of unfamiliar faces, recurring incidents, and incomprehensible events, but that day he saw the man from his dreams who killed his father, and that changed the course of his life. Interesting, isn’t it?

Our hero is fierce, and lionhearted strives to conquer against all the odds and has a tattoo that is simply the cherry on top (haha!). Even though Teito Klan is being mocked by others for serving as a slave, his loyalty and bravery make him stand out from the rest of the clan. Having a buddy to rely on, Teito is determined to take revenge for his father's murder. He attacks that familiar face, one of the officers, Chief of Staff Ayanami, and the man who killed his father in his dreams. However, he is instantly brought down by Hyuuga, one of Ayanami's subordinates, and sent to prison. Are you thinking that it’s over for our hero? No, brace yourselves, the action has just started! Teito manages to escape the prison (thanks to Mikage) and the two friends flee the building, but are cornered on a balcony. Teito pretends to hold Mikage hostage (ain’t he the smartest?) and tries to escape yet again.

However, Ayanami sends a Zaiphon attack after him, which our hero manages to sidetrack to some extent and gets injured. Teito is brought to the nearby church to recover, and the story takes yet another 360-degree turn. You are hooked, aren’t you? (haha! ) Do you want to know more? Teito Klein

Teito Klein is the protagonist of the story. He has all the qualities that we aspire to see in a mainstream hero. He is smart, chivalrous, loyal, and takes action without any fear. He is eager to know his past and is on a journey of self-discovery throughout the series. His friendship with Mikage is a treat for the eyes. He is just like you, a loyal friend who made a promise to be there till the end and an obedient son who can risk it all for his kith and kin. You will love to see him evolve into a guy who struggled, and grieved, but came out glorious every time.

Mikage

You must have heard the phrase, "Through thick and thin". Well, we all need a friend like Mikage, who is there to share tears of both bliss and misery. Since you were pondering, what 07-Ghost character are you? We can clearly see a close connection between you and him. Just like him, you would go to every extent to save the life of your best friend. He is a friend for life, who without any judgment goes out of his way to help his dear friend. Consequently, he lost his life but definitely made a mark on his viewers’ hearts.

Ayanami

Ayanami is the antagonist of the series. Coming from a noble family, he is strong-willed, resilient, and silent in nature. Don't we all admire a soldier like him? He is a true soldier at heart. Willing to kill and die for his beliefs and values, Ayanami, like you, is immensely loyal, which serves as the driving force for all his actions. Quick, tidy, organized, and merciless on the battlefield, Ayanami is a perfect rival for the hero.

Frau

Frau is one of the main characters in the series. Serving as a Bishop at Barsburg Church located in district 7, Frau can be perfectly described as "a bad boy with a heart of gold". He is a ladies' man but quite hot-tempered and quarrelsome at times. Frau may be perceived as mean-spirited at first, but sooner you will realize that, just like you, he is your undiplomatic fellow who is always there to defend the underdogs. He is a savior who saved Teito and never hesitates to spit out the truth. He will take a stand for the ones who are suppressed and oppressed by cruel people.
